Petronas Gas And Yayasan Sabah To Develop Power Plant In Kimanis

KOTA KINABALU, Nov 24 -- Petronas Gas Sdn Bhd on Monday signed a shareholders' agreement with Yayasan Sabah to jointly embark on a proposed 300-megawatt power plant project in Kimanis, Papar, about 60 kilometres from here.

Petronas Gas chairman Wan Zulkiflee Wan Ariffin said the agreement was signed following a joint development pact between the company and Yayasan Sabah on June 13 this year.
Wan Zulkiflee signed on behalf of Petronas Gas while Yayasan Sabah was represented by its director Tan Sri Datu Khalil Datu Jamalul (nie member Vhenz nih..) at a simple ceremony which was witnessed by Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman ( aaa.. nih musuh Vhenz tapi kawan Ir. Acan).Under the shareholders' agreement, the partners will form a joint venture (with a share of 60 percent for Petronas Gas and 40 percent for Yayasan Sabah) to develop, operate and maintain the proposed gas-fired power plant and its related facilities and infrastructure.Wan Zulkiflee said the joint venture company would undertake the sale and delivery of electricity from the proposed power plant to meet the growing demand for electricity in the state.According to him, the project is also subject to certain conditions being met, including its commercial viability.
